In support of regional agriculture and Extension, NEED responded to the USDA’s solicitation for comment on the interim final rules for the establishment of a domestic hemp production program.
In consultation with the Northeast Regional Association of Agricultural Experiment Station Directors (NERA), NEED submitted comments that included suggesting that U.S. Drug Enforcement Administrator, or other agency, funds be allocated to support the Cooperative Extension System educating producers on how to complete hemp testing in a way that the DEA will accept.
